T. Boone Picken announces plan for wind and natural gas



I just saw legendary Texas oilman T. Boone Pickens press conference
about his idea of using wind power and natural gas to replace our
dependency on oil. While, I agree that we need to do something about
these escalating oil prices, I do not agree that we should switch to
natural gas to power our cars.

I would prefer that Detroit automakers would wake up and do what
current hybrid owners are doing. Which is, to add a spare battery to
the hybrids. Maybe Detroit should also add a solar cell on the roof of
the hybrids to improve the range of these vehicles.

To me an electric vehicle is far cleaner than a natural gas powered
one. And besides, we would just be trading natural gas for gasoline.
Sorry, T.Boone but I do not agree with your idea.
